groundtracks — Professional Satellite Mission Designer
groundtracks is a professional-grade, web-based satellite mission
designer. Because it runs entirely in your browser, it works on any
platform — Windows, macOS, Linux, or Chromebook — with no install or
download, yet is fully featured. Build a single satellite or a Walker
constellation, place ground stations, access sites, and areas of
interest, then run rigorous access-window, coverage, link-budget,
eclipse, and analytical orbital-decay analyses. Orbit propagation
uses precision SGP4 in a fast, polished workflow, free to use.
The interactive app requires JavaScript and WebGL. Please enable
JavaScript to design and analyze a mission.
What you can do
- Design a single satellite (Keplerian elements or TLE) or a Walker constellation.
- Import satellites from TLEs, CCSDS OMM/OEM, or a shared NORAD catalogue.
- Place ground stations, access sites, and areas of interest.
- Compute access windows, coverage / figures of merit, and link budgets.
- Run eclipse and analytical orbital-decay analyses.
- Visualize orbits on a 3D globe and a 2D map, and share scenarios via a link.
